Version 2.2 of Enhanced Meta Widget is now released.

This version incorporates a couple of changes that were suggested by users.

The following is a summary of all changes/fixes:

  • Changed wording from site admin to dashboard in both the options and the links.
  • If display dashboard is selected, the link will appear for all logged-in users, not just admins. This allows non-admin users access to all settings for which they have permissions.
  • For admin, the link to the dashboard still appears at the top of all admin links. For non-admin logged-in users it appears just after my profile.
  • In the “Welcome, UserName” phrase, it is now an option to have the username link to the user profile.
  • Added Turkish (tr\_TR) language files

As usual, the widget can be downloaded from the WordPress plugin repository, or updated automatically via the WordPress admin panel.

I would appreciate it greatly if you would please take time to rate EMW.

Version 1.5 of Enhanced Meta Widget is now released. Some new features were added and a formatting error was fixed.

New Features Added:

  • Can choose to display login link or login form
  • Separated logout link from login link/form
  • Display “username is logged in.”

Additionally I fixed the display of the login form if it’s the only thing showing on the sidebar (now surrounded by $before_widget and $after_widget).

As usual, the widget can be downloaded from the WordPress plugin repository.

Versions 1.3 and 1.4 of the Enhanced Meta Widget is now released. Version 1.3 fixed a couple of spelling errors and a couple of errors with the html code, as well as the fact that the title would show for logged out users even if no links other than the log-in form were to be displayed.

Version 1.4 fixed a problem of too many line breaks between sections if certain links were not displayed. And the readme file was updated to reflect the fact that with the new 2.8 widget coding standards this widget is a multi-widget by default and can be used multiple times in the same sidebar or different sidebars.

As usual, the widget can be downloaded from the WordPress plugin repository.

Version 1.2 of the Enhanced Meta Widget is now released. I fixed the items in the to do list. And I think/hope that unless I find other errors or have recommendations for something new/different that this will be the last release.

As usual, the widget can be downloaded from the WordPress plugin repository.

Stuff that needs to be coded for the update to v1.2:

* Fixing the display of the Log in/out display to account for whether or not users can register at a blog, and showing the register link accordingly.
* Fix the display of the RSS and wordpress.org links if they are to be displayed and user is not logged-in.

A couple of small fixes to Enhanced Meta Widget, and version 1.1 is released this evening. The correct version is downloaded from wordpress.org, but I’m still figuring out the SVN thing to get the right version number and information displayed on the page.

Today marks the release of Enhanced Meta Widget version 1.0.

There will soon be an update, as I noticed that a few links are missing if a non-admin user is logged in.
